The Lasko 2554 42” Wind Curve fan is much understated in design. Its contemporary look with a finish of burled wood and silver will not look out of place in any room. The tower design also adds to the overall style and saves valuable floor space. Looks aside, this model has many features that will keep the air in a room at a comfortable level during the hot summer months.
Design isn’t all that Lasko has thought about with the #2554 wind curve fan. As the name suggests, it can be set to oscillate so the consumer can take the full benefit of cool air across the whole room. Additionally, this unit is fitted with an optional ionizer that will keep the air fresh as well as cool, perfect for rooms with lots of people.
With 3 speeds and a timer (which can be set from 0.5 to 7.5 hours), Lasko have gone one step further with providing optimum comfort within any room in the home or office. For further convenience, the Lasko 2554 comes with a fully functional remote control allowing the user to operate it without having to move.
What We Liked
- Beautiful Design
Looks are almost just as important as functionality. This is why Lasko have designed the 42” wind curve fan to look great. Its tower design (which saves space) is finished in silver and burled wood.
With the optional ionizer you not only benefit from better quality air, it will feel much fresher as well.
- 3 Fan Speeds
You can set the 2554 on low, medium or high depending on your needs.
- Automatic Timer
Unlike many other models in this price range, this unit comes with a timer that can be set to shut off between 0.5 and 7.5 hours.
- Ease of Use
With a fully functional electronic remote, it’s possible to control the fan speeds, oscillation and ionizer options as well as turn the unit on/off.
What We Didn't Like
- Difficult to Clean
Due to the design, the Lasko #2554 is not the easiest unit in the world to clean, and it has been noted this causes problems with the ionizer function.
- Mystery Noise
There have been many complaints that this unit makes a mystery clicking sound when the oscillation function is in use. For some this isn’t an issue, but for others it has posed a problem.
The Lasko 2554 wind curve fan rates well above average on both design and operation. The manufacturer has done a marvelous job producing a practical product that will attract those who are concerned about aesthetics. It also uses ionizing technology that many tower fans in this price range don’t offer. If you’re looking for cool and fresh air at a reasonable price, this model is an excellent buy.Review by AirReflect ©
