What We Didn't Like
- Durability
This air treatment system comes with a 1 year warranty but several consumers have noted it does breakdown soon after this has expired. - Replacement Bulbs
Currently, the replacement bulbs can only be purchased through Honeywell which means it’s impossible to shop around for a less expensive option.
Conclusion
The Honeywell RUVLAMP1/C generally rates very highly among users. In fact, although it’s recommended you start with a clean HVAC system, the cost of this air treatment system is less than one fifth of some professional cleaning services that won’t ensure continuous clean air. The UV technology behind this model is effective and will help with allergy symptoms as well as reduce annoying odors that can come from systems like this. In our opinion, this is well worth the investment.
