Honeywell HZ-519

Honeywell has created another masterpiece for those who want to enjoy whole room heat without the high monthly expenses. The Honeywell Baseboard Heater is an affordable alternative to a central heating system. You can place the heater in any part of the room, up against a wall, and its convection technology will disperse heat evenly throughout the entire room when on convection heating mode.

Review Details

The Honeywell Baseboard Heater is a flame-resistant digital heater that allows its users to program their preferred temperature to their liking. The heater will remember what has been programmed and automatically brings itself to that temperature, silently. Honeywell made this heater silent for those who are not partial to noisy heaters that only do half the job. When you want to enjoy the even heat, just use the digital controls to turn it on, set temperatures and set the timer.

If there is extra heat needed in just one spot, the handy quick heat mode will shoot a blast of heat through the area you want for a quick and comfortable warmth.

What We Liked

  • Tip-Over Safety Protection
If the heater gets knocked over, the tip-over safety function will automatically turn the heater off to avoid a fire.
  • Temperature Set Function
This function maintains the desired temperature of the user. Just turn on the heater and it will remember what your desired temperature setting is.
  • Low Profile Baseboard Design
This makes it look like the heater is actually built into the wall like other baseboard heat sources. This keeps it out of the way of foot traffic and lowers the risk of being knocked over.
  • LCD Screen
The LCD screen is a nice feature because you can see exactly what the temperature is and what you are setting the heater to.
  • Backup Thermal Circuit Breaker
If the heater becomes too hot or is operating at higher than normal temperatures, the heater will shut off automatically.

What We Didn't Like

  • No Remote Control
It may become a hassle to have to bend over to turn on the heater every time it is used. Even though you need to do this, it is still only one button that needs to be touched if the temperature setting is designated.
  • LCD Panel Is Unlit
Although the LCD panel is unlit and can be difficult to see in the dark, there is always the option of setting the temperature to the desired setting and just pushing one button without having to look at the LCD.

If you are looking for heater that is going to do the job of an expensive heating system in each room, the Honeywell Baseboard Heater is the ideal choice. Place one of these heaters against the wall, set the temperature and enjoy the comfort. The Honeywell has great features that make it the perfect heater for any home.
