Essick Air D46 720
While the Essick Air D46 720 Humidifier is technologically advanced, design hasn’t been forgotten either. Essick Air has really managed to save on space, but at the same-time they haven’t compromised on the area it will cover. This unit humidifies an area of 1300 sq ft, and the good thing is it can do this in multiple rooms from one place. This means you can save money, as you only need to buy one unit instead of several.
Review Details
With the D46 720 you will be presented with a sleek tower design humidifier that will fit into almost any space. With its neutral black casing and grey front finish, this model will not look out of place in any type of décor.
The digital controls are easy to use and have been thoughtfully placed at the top of the unit. The controls allow you to take advantage of the 4 speed fans, and the in-built humidistat will give you the option to control and consistently monitor the level of humidity you have.
The D46 720 also comes with handy dual tanks that hold up to the 3 gallons of water and is equipped with a dual super wick which gives high output and is long lasting.
What We Liked
- Space Saving
For consumers with little in the way of floor space the D46 720 is the ideal answer. The slim-line tower design with neutral colors will blend perfectly into the background. - Clean Air System
This model is equipped with an evaporative wick to ensure that no white dust residue is released into the air. - One Unit – Multiple Rooms
The Essick Air D46 720 has the capacity to give an output of almost 6 gallons per day, and is quite capable of humidifying several rooms that cover up to 1300 sq ft. - Humidity Control
Fitted with a humidistat, this unit will give you complete control over the level of humidity you need. Once set, the humidifier will automatically regulate the levels requested.
What We Didn't Like
- Noise Level
The highest speed setting may cause more noise than you would expect of humidifiers in this price range. However, the highest speed is rarely needed (only when you use the unit for the first time, to reach desired humidity levels). - Somewhat Flimsy Parts
Certain parts such as the tank screw caps and spring release do not appear very sturdy.
Conclusion
Considering the amount of space the D46 720 takes up and the area it covers, the price is very reasonable indeed. There are other cheaper models on the market that come with a few more features however; they don’t have the capacity this humidifier does. If you’re looking for a unit that doesn't need to be refilled all the time, allows you to control the humidity levels automatically and gives you something truly functional, this unit is worth considering.
