Ebac Triton

On first sight, it’s easy to see why the Ebac Triton dehumidifier is great for heavy duty residential and commercial use. It may be small but this is quite deliberate by the manufacturer and its size doesn’t impact on its ability to draw large amounts of moisture from the air. The compact design means it can easily be moved and operated by one person, yet it’s powerful enough to remove moisture from several rooms at once.

Review Details

The Ebac Triton is a rugged looking dehumidifier that has been built to last. It comes with heavy duty wheels to the back and a sturdy stand to the front. The chassis is made from heavy duty steel and powder coated to increase durability. In fact, this unit will withstand some of the most extreme conditions a building site can present.

This model includes Ebac’s “hot gas” defrosting feature which means it will happily operate in temperatures as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit. It also comes with an internal defrost condensate pump which will ensure continuous operation no matter what the conditions are.
With the ability to remove up 52 pints of moisture (104 in very humid environments) the Ebac Triton is perfect for commercial areas, flood damaged buildings and heavy residential use.

What We Liked

  • Powerful Moisture Removal
This dehumidifier has the ability to remove up to 104 pints of moisture per day making it one of the most powerful available on the market. It is perfect for flood damaged areas as well as commercial and residential buildings.
  • Robust
The Ebac Triton has a heavy duty steel chassis which is powder coated for extra durability.
  • Operates in Extreme Conditions
With the Ebac “hot gas” defrosting feature and internal defrost condensate pump, this unit will happily operate at temperatures as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Automatic Pump-Out
The Ebac Triton has a 20 foot vertical and 100 foot horizontal pump-purge switch making it incredibly efficient.
  • Simple to Operate
With a 115v power supply and extra long power cord, the Ebac Triton can be plugged anywhere.

What We Didn't Like

  • No Adjustable Humidistat
The Ebac Triton does not come with an adjustable humidistat, however, controllers are available to buy as a separate purchase.
  • Noise Level
This dehumidifier can be noisy when it’s operating at its optimum level. This is something most industrial dehumidifiers have in common, as noise is usually not an issue in construction.

If you need a robust dehumidifier that will efficiently move a lot of moisture in a short space of time, you can’t go far wrong with the Ebac Triton. It’s robust enough to work in some of the most extreme conditions and is built using heavy duty materials that won’t easily break-down. It’s compact enough that one person can easily operate it and the price tag is something that won’t shock either for a professional unit.
