The Dimplex Fireplace Deluxe is great for year-round comfort and enjoyment. This is a safe heating source for any home because unlike an actual fireplace, the Dimplex will not produce any harmful particulates and there is 90% less of a carbon dioxide output than a gas fireplace. The best thing about it is that you do not need to worry about putting it away for the summer because you can still enjoy it without the heat, all you have to do is turn on the flame.
What We Liked

This is nice because you cannot control the temperature on a traditional fireplace. This one is made to heat 400 square feet comfortably. - On/off remote control
Turn the fireplace on or off without having to get up, this is nice for those who may have problems getting up and down. - Built in thermostat
This will help to control the heat throughout the room. The fireplace will keep the temperature at your preferred comfort level. - Easy set-up
All you have to do is plug it in and it is ready for use, no messy installation required. - Operates with or without heat
If you want to enjoy a fireplace without the heat, you can turn the Dimplex off and turn just the flame on.
What We Didn't Like
- Can only be used in a fireplace
Some people may want to use this as a free-standing heater, unfortunately it can only be placed inside of an existing fireplace. - Does not heat the whole house
Real fireplaces tend to heat the whole house, the Dimplex only heats a 400 square foot area, which is still nice for an artificial heat source.
Conclusion
The Dimplex Fireplace gives you all of the same enjoyment you would get from a real fireplace. It has the LED logs and glowing embers, just like a wood burning fireplace. Even though it does not put off as much heat as a real fireplace would, it is much safer and cheaper to operate. This electric fireplace costs around 2 cents per hour without the heat and 8 cents per hour with the heat. For the price of the Dimplex, it is well worth not having to cut or buy your own wood.
