Crane EE-8064

The Crane Ee-8064 Humidifier could be termed as 2 in 1, however, it does 3 jobs. You’re provided with both warm and cool mist options, plus the company has used up to the minute technology with regards to germ control. It will not only keep the air in a dry atmosphere moist, Crane has also focused on the problems that people have with general nasal congestions, irritated throats and lung problems associated with poor air conditions.

Review Details

The Crane Ee-8064 will produce up to 2.5 gallons of moisture each day and is perfect for rooms up to 500 sq ft. To add to your comfort, the unit has 360 degree directional mist nozzles which mean the moisture reaches all areas around the humidifier.

One of the best features with this model is the utilization of antimicrobial protection. Tiny silver particles keep the tank free from mold and mildew and thereby prevent various harmful bacteria from reaching the air around you. With ultrasonic technology also included, operation is almost silent. It works all night without interrupting sleep, whilst maintaining a healthy and comfortable environment.

What We Liked

  • Soothing Mist at Low Energy Levels
Your unit will work for up to 24 hours and takes less energy than the average light bulb. It will consistently produce a clean cool or warm mist to help alleviate congestion and other respiratory problems.
  • Advanced Anti-Bacterial Technology
With tiny particles of silver embedded inside the Crane Ee-8064 you can be rest assured that even the smallest particles of dirt or other harmful bacteria will not reach the air you breathe.
  • Whisper Quiet Operation
The Ee-8064 makes use of the latest in ultrasonic technology, making it perfect for use in the bedroom. When in operation, it can barely be heard.
  • Easy Operation
Simple digital displays make this unit very easy to use. Simply fill the tank from the tap, put it into the unit, set the desired output and let the unit do the rest.

What We Didn't Like

  • Hard Water Areas
In places where water from the tap contains a high amount of minerals, it’s suggested to use distilled water instead. This will help reduce the amount of lime scale build-up within. It is also possible to buy a demineralization cartridge, but this is sold separately.
  • Awkward Tank Design
It can be awkward to fill the tank because it needs to be flipped over. Given the other features included, this is a minor flaw.

Conclusion

Crane has managed to incorporate automatic shut-offs, digital controls and directional mist operation with this model. This combination is not easy to find for humidifiers that work with ultrasound, and given the price, it rates well over average on both cost and features. It’s been designed with the customer in mind, especially those that suffer from allergies or respiratory problems. Overall, this is a very economical buy..
