Comfort Zone® Citadel

The Comfort Zone® Citadel Tower Heater/Fan is a great heater for just about any home. It will keep the whole room warm with the 80 degree oscillating tower which will push the heat around (instead of just blow it out directly out in front). Once you have your room up to temperature, change the setting on the adjustable thermostat to keep it as comfortable as you want it.

Review Details

If you are looking for a heater that is going to keep you warm and cozy on those chilly days, and if you want it to be safe enough to keep in your home with children or pets, the Comfort Zone will do the job.

Not only will it keep your room warm, it also has a stay-cool body and a safety tip-over switch. This is nice because if you have curious pets or children, they can touch it all they want and it will not hurt them. If it is accidentally knocked over, it will shut off, hence reducing the risk of a fire.

What We Liked

  • Two heat settings
Some heaters have only one heat setting, this one has two heat settings and even a fan setting. One heat setting uses 800 watts and the other uses 1500 watts. If you just want the fan on with no heat, you can do that too.
  • No glowing ceramic element
The glow from some heaters is very bright and distracting. On this heater, there is no glow and it will be much nicer to have in a dark bedroom.
  • Oscillating tower
The oscillating tower is perfect for circulating the heat through the entire room, not just in one small spot.
  • Stay-cool body
Heaters that get hot to touch have the potential to start a fire if left near flammable materials. The stay-cool body makes it cool to touch and reduces the risk of fire.
  • Safety tip-over switch
Sometimes heaters get knocked over and with pets around, this can also happen when there is nobody home. This heater has a switch inside that automatically turns the heater off if it gets knocked over.

What We Didn't Like

  • Thermostat dial is on the bottom
This can be an inconvenience for those who have trouble bending over. If this is the case, keep it at one setting that is most comfortable to reduce the amount of times you need to change the dial.
  • Not as fancy as others
Yes, this heater is about as plain as they get, but it is meant for heat, not a decorative discussion piece.

Conclusion

If you are looking for a plain heater that is going to get the job done, the Comfort Zone will do just that. This heater will keep your room comfortable and it has simple features that make it user friendly, like a heater should be. The Comfort Zone® Citadel heater is a perfect addition to any room and is worth every penny.
